About the 2 year / 4 year sentence:

Murray WAS given the full sentence of 4 years in prison, however, California passed a new law in light of their overcrowding that makes it to where less violent criminals serve in county jails, and apparently it also shortens serve time because Murray’s sentence was automatically shortened to 2 years according to ABC7 who were in the courtroom.
